As an English lecturer in Further and Higher Education, I’ve taught GCSE and A Level English Language and Literature, Creative Writing, Greek, as well as ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) for a span of three decades, constantly moving on with the times; new curriculums pedagogical developments and my own personal development .
My passion for language and education has always been rooted in helping students of all backgrounds master the skills they need to communicate effectively and achieve their academic and personal goals.
However, over time especially during and after the lockdowns due to Covid, I began to notice the growing need for flexibility in learning. Many of my students, particularly adults and those with work or family commitments, struggled to fit traditional class schedules into their busy lives. I saw how talented and motivated individuals often had to abandon their studies due to the constraints of in-person learning. It became clear to me that education should adapt to fit the needs of students, not the other way around.
This realisation was the catalyst for English Language Online (ELO)—an online platform I created to offer flexible, personalised English education to learners around the world.
My vision in establishing ELO was simple: to create a learning space where students, no matter where they are or how busy their schedules, could access high-quality English instruction tailored to their individual needs.
Having taught a range of students from GCSE learners and A Level, to those mastering English as a second language and Greek , I wanted to ensure that ELO could cater to a variety of learning goals. Whether students are aiming to improve their conversational English, prepare for an exam, or advance their professional language skills, ELO offers:

As a dedicated teacher and lecturer with a wealth of experience, I bring a unique combination of expertise and passion to the classroom, which means I will cater for the individual needs of students pursuing GCSE and A-Level English Language and Literature and anyone who wishes to learn English as a Second, or Foreign, Language or Modern Greek.
My deep understanding of English Language and Literature at both GCSE and A-Level provides me with the skills to cultivate critical thinking, creativity, and a love for the written word in my students.
With a focus on fostering analytical skills and encouraging thoughtful interpretation, I guide my students through complex texts, helping them engage with everything from Shakespearean plays to contemporary novels and poetry.
My approach to teaching English is both rigorous and inspiring, as I emphasise upon close reading, literary analysis that also provide the skills for students to write their own literary and persuasive writing, I prepare students not only for their exams but for a lifetime of effective communication and critical thinking for their personal lives, Higher Education and within the work place.
I understand that every student has a unique relationship with literature, and I tailor my teaching methods to accommodate individual learning styles, ensuring that each student feels both supported and challenged.
As a person who moved to Greece at the age of eight, and had to learn a foreign language in a country with a different culture to the one I knew as a young child, I have deep empathy for learners who are learning a new language and its complexities; so, I have a deep understanding on how to support you on overcoming the complexities of the English language on your ESOL, TEFL and IELTS course.
As a English Language lecturer I create a welcoming and inclusive environment where all students feel comfortable developing their English language skills. Whether working with beginners or more advanced learners, my teaching is infused with patience and a clear understanding of the linguistic challenges faced by non-native speakers.
I employ a range of interactive and engaging methods to ensure students grasp grammar, vocabulary, and pronunciation while also boosting their confidence in real-world communication.
